Mining in the North East - what are the impacts and what you can do to help inform your clients?
Mining risk in the UK is a lot more wide spread than we think. With 866,266 recorded pits, 390,482 recorded quarries, and 8.2M residential properties which could be affected by non-coal mining risk, these numbers reveal the extensive nature of non-coal mining features across England and Wales. Combine that with coal mining and you can begin to see how wide spread the potential risk is. In this webinar session, we are focusing on the North East of England, former Mining Consultant and now Technical Communications Executive Tom Harvey-James will be covering the following talking points:
- Mining legacy in the UK and mining risk in the North East
- What has been mined in the region and how?
- What mining data is used in our desktop reports
- What reports are available and practical guidance and next steps
