Property professionals must do more to prepare for the future

Are you doing enough to futureproof your firm? If you think you could be doing more, but don’t know where to start… Tune into tm:tv at 12 noon on Thursday 24th March to hear a panel of experts share their ideas on where you should be focussing your efforts to help prepare the industry for a better tomorrow.

All part of a new 6-part tm:tv series called Achieving Change: Think tomorrow, act today! – brought to the market by tmgroup, Conveyancing Data Services (CDS) and mio – host, Paul Albone, Chief Operating Officer (COO) at tmgroup, will be joined by:

  • Angela Hesketh, Director of Conveyancing Transformation at ULS technology
  • Chris Harris, Industry Expert
  • James Dearsley, Co-Founder of Unissu
  • Abdi Ebrahimi, Head of Commercial Property at Tinsdills Solicitors
  • Tom Backhouse, Director at Dye & Durham Corporation

Angela Hesketh, Director of Conveyancing Transformation at ULS technology – a conveyancer and professional member sitting on the disciplinary tribunal for CILEX – comments:

“Reform within the property industry is way overdue and the desire for change and frustration with the process is resulting in an increase in pace and attention particularly from the tech industry and others. However, it’s essential that change is positive, measured and in the best interests of the consumer – designed to meet their needs and expectations today and into the future. The current process is outdated and no longer fit for purpose. To do this, change must be robust, managed, measured by both consumers and industry stakeholders – with the back-up and support of government to ensure consistency and compliance and protection for all.”

Paul Albone, Chief Operating Officer (COO) at tmgroup continues:

Having worked for tmgroup for nearly 20 years now, it has been a frustration on how slow the adoption of technology can be. With the key sentiments being efficiency, transparency and collaboration, I am enthused with the recent rate of change we have seen and the maturity of some of the IT services that now exist. The home moving process is something many of us will experience at least once in our lifetime. It shouldn’t be as stressful and protracted as it still is, and I look forward to working with people and businesses that want to remove some of those barriers and see collaboration as a fundamental keystone in achieving it.”
