tmGroup has launched tmSign, an innovative Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) solution specifically for the regulatory, technical and workflow needs of conveyancers.

The platform brings together verified digital identity, compliance, and legally recognised signing into one seamless process – enabling firms to complete property transactions securely, efficiently, and without the delays traditionally associated with wet signatures.

Under UK eIDAS, a Qualified Electronic Signature carries the same legal weight as a handwritten signature executed in the presence of two witnesses. With HM Land Registry now accepting QES for property deeds, conveyancers can, for the first time, execute high‑value, high‑risk documents digitally with full legal certainty. This marks a significant milestone in the England & Wales’ journey toward a fully digitised property market.

A major step forward for digital conveyancing

Until now, the conveyancing sector lacked a QES solution engineered around real‑world legal workflows. Generic e‑signature tools do not meet the standards required for HM Land Registry deeds or the complex multi‑party scenarios common in property transactions.
